We are not, we hope:

a Fiasco- noun

1.a complete failure, especially a ludicrous or humiliating one

2.a round-bottomed glass flask for wine, especially Chianti, fitted with a woven,

protective raffia basket that also enables the bottle to stand upright..

Keith Hobday has a number of different roles in the local community of North Norfolk, including Director of The Belfry Centre for Music & Arts, Conductor of the North Norfolk Sinfonia and Chairman of The North Norfolk Festival of Performing Arts.

He has played the Violin since he was 8yrs old and has a deep seated love of Violin music of all types including classical, jazz, country, Klezmer, Tangos and much more.

He loves playing with Fiasco! as it gives him a chance to explore many different styles and play with his best friends.

Kate fell in love with the sound of the clarinet at the age of 8 and plays at any given opportunity. When she is not doing that, she can be found teaching the piano, making public artworks, running community art projects, or in her metal workshop, making gates and fences.

Kate couldn't choose between her two passions and studied sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art while having occasional clarinet lessons at the Guildhall School of Music when busking was lucrative enough.

She is half of the two-woman British Snow Carving team, taking part in snow sculpting events all over the winter world and winning many gold and silver medals.

Despite the incompatability of power tools and making music, Kate loves the different aspects of her working life and is always finding that one feeds the other.

Kate lives by and in the sea with her family and is a member of Sheringham lifeboat crew.

After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Ivan performed for twenty years with the Duke Quartet. They recorded for Factory Records, Collins Classics and Naxos and were voted ‘Best Newcomer of the Year’ at the Cannes Classical Music Awards. The Duke Quartet recorded and toured with bands including The Pretenders, Blur and The Cranberries. They were resident at Trinity College, Oxford, for many years.

In 2001 Ivan left the quartet to undertake other projects including a residency with the Swiss Theater St Gallen Dance Company, performing solo cello and vocals. In the following years he also toured with artists such as Pete Doherty.

Ivan is also a member of Chaos Collective and Kavolini. He also performs with his daughter Ella McCready.

Ivan was awarded an Associateship to the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM). He plays on a cello made for him in 2001 by Kai-Thomas Roth.

The four musicians lead their audience through foot-stomping frenzy to calm musical melancholy and back again; clearly having huge amounts of fun while doing so. Go and see them!'

- Melissa Collin
